Hi everyone! I’m Lucky Joker and today’s Walkthrough Wednesday post will be revolving around the confectionery and nutty island known as “Charlie and the Chocolate Factory”! Let’s get started, shall we?
Golden Ticket Pandemonium:
As soon as you land on the island, click on Charlie Bucket and follow him to the next screen. Poor little Charlie wants a chocolate bar, so we’re going to need find him some money. Once at the next screen, run all the way to the left and click on the last payphone. You will obtain a coin from doing so. Run to the right and you will activate a short cut scene. After, go back to the right and head into the Corner Shop. Use your coin and Charlie will use it to buy himself a chocolate bar. He will ask you to open it for him, because he is nervously excited. And what do you know?! We got a Golden Ticket!
Don’t get to excited yet. Some tenacious old people will walk in and try to persuade Charlie to trade his ticket for cash or a new bicycle. Go ahead, and push them out of the way and Charlie will escape. Exit as well. This next part is pretty challenging and fun! All of the annoying, jealous kids on the block will attempt to steal Charlie’s ticket! It is our job to protect him. Follow these instructions to beat this mini-game successfully.
After this, you’ll be directed to a cut-scene. Then we find out that there is a sixth ticket to the factory! After the cut-scene, run left to the next screen as we did before. The ticket will be floating around, and your goal is to chase it to the top of the building until you finally get it. After that, return to main street and enter the gates of the dazzling factory!
The Factory:
Now talk to all of the parents and children. It’s required to progress in the island, strangely. They all say some pretty comical things though. Another cut-scene will play, where all of the children, including us, will give the tickets to Mr. Wonka.
Now, enter the factory. Yet another animation segment will play on. The bratty children will begin to act in a euphoric manner and wander off. We are going to have to find all of them and stop them from causing any damage. Willy Wonka will ask you to grab his cane, before you do anything else. Just run to the left to find it. Once you’ve grabbed his cane, he and Charlie will have disappeared. Now, head left and drop down.
You will fall next to a sign with a list of rooms in the factory. All you have to do is click the room you’d like to go to, and follow the hands to find the room. They will point, the direction to walk and drop to. You can visit the rooms in any order for it will not affect the island’s ending. Every time you solve the problem each room holds, you will need to return to the sign. Here is how to “solve” each room:
The Chocolate Room:
When walking in, a cut-scene will commence. Augustus gets himself stuck in the pipes, and we need to get him out. Go around the room and turn all of the green wheels along the tubes to do so. Again, no certain order needed to complete the island. After that, watch the cut-scene and enter Fudge room. This part gets a little tricky. Augustus is trapped in the chocolate processor, which isn’t good. Head over to Augustus, and turn the green wheel. After that, run to your left and press the red, blue and green switches. Then drop down two levels, and press the purple button. Keep running to your right and press the blue button. After that, press the red button at the very end of the middle level, just before Augustus can reach the flames. Drop to the last level and alternate by pressing the orange buttons to where he does not get burned.
Phew! That was a close one! Then, you’re finished… with 1/5 of the remainder of the island. Teehee. The Oompa Loompas will perform their musical number, and you’re all ready to go back to the hallways and continue with your quest!
The Inventing Room:
Once you enter, jump on one of the colored platforms to release a gumball from the giant gumball machine. A cut-scene will commence, and Violet Beauregard will turn into a blueberry!
After, the Oompas roll the potential circus act into the Juicing Room, just go ahead and follow them in. You’re going to have to juice her and to do that, we need to get all of the fruits under their corresponding juicers. Just click the puzzle by the little Oompa Loompa. It shows you a key at the top of the puzzle to let you know what color needs to be in which number socket. You must get all of them correct to advance.
You can figure it out on your own, or you can follow my steps!
- Purple: Move up
- Yellow: Move right
- Orange: Move up
- Red: Move right
- Yellow: Move down
- Yellow: Move left
- Orange: Move up
- Purple: Move down
- Yellow: Move up
- Purple: Move left
- Orange: Move Down
- Red: Move left
Tada! You’ve completed the Inventing Room tidbit of the island. Return to the hallways to continue your whimsical journey!
The Nut Room:
If you have a nut allergy, then play with caution, because this could get pretty dangerous. Just kidding! Walk to the left to pick up a Walnut. Now, walk further to the left. Another cut-scene will play and you’ll see that Veruca is a spoiled brat. I think she may be worse than Sarah Snooty! She will demand for a squirrel, and then she and her father get attacked by them and thrown down the garbage shoot. How awesome, right? And to avoid getting attacked, you’re character will jump down the shoot him/herself. What do you know? You’re a good nut!
Okay, now for the fun part! Head all the way down to the bottom of the room and run right. Jump over the trash can and grab the Fizzy Lifting Drink. Now, push the trash can in front of the little door. Next, pull the red lever. Jump all the way up to the top and yank the lever to the A.B.C. Gum Disposal. Push the ginormous ball of gum in front of the fan. While you’re here, pick up the Whipped Cream. Pull the lever again and push the ball in front of the little door this time. Once again, pull the red lever. You have just activated the Back-up Generator, but no worries. Just use your walnut to distract the squirrel from doing it’s job.
And voila! You’re finished with the Nut Room! Exit into the Hallways, using your Fizzy Lifting Drink, to continue on your candy expedition!
The Television Room:
As soon as you enter, Willy Wonka will explain how he is able to send objects into the telly using his teleporter. Being bizarre, Mike will want to experience what it would be like to be transported. So, he will run into the teleporter and send himself into the big screen! Like always, it is our job to fix this. Run to the left and talk to the Oompa Loompa. Now, fix the antennae until Mike is visible and the screen is clear.
Next, follow the crazed woman into the Bubblegum Room. Talk to the boy Oompa Loompa and ask him if there’s anything you can do. Now click on the monitor. For this, you need to continuously click the screen, when the arrow is in the middle of the “Less or More” bar at the top. Keep doing this until he fits the flashing shape in the center if the screen.
Afterward, he will still be a little too tall, but you didn’t mess up. That’s the way it’s supposed to be. Mike and his mother will leave and it’s time for you to as well.
The Chocolate Room…again:
Yay! All of the bratty rugrats are gone, and it’s just you and Charlie! Once in the hallways, head to the Chocolate Room, to wrap this island up, like a candy. Once you enter, yet another cut-scene will play through. Charlie is swept away by a rumble,and it is up to us, of course being the amazing Poptropicans we are, to save him. Talk to Willy and tell him that you’ll save Charlie. Now here’s the exciting part! This is the final mini-game of the island.
The game is fairly easy when you get used to it. Some may even successfully finish the first time around. Just read the instruction and click start. *NOTE*: You cannot jump on the brown rocks. Only the logs and flat platforms. Some platforms also sink, so move fast. The same goes for the Whipped Cream, it will wear away.
When you get to the end of the game, you will automatically save Charlie using Wonka’s cane. Finally that item became useful! Willy Wonka will then give Charlie the key to the factory, and you… the Island Medallion! Congratulations, you’ve now completed Charlie and the Chocolate Factory Island!
Bonus Quest:
There’s more fun to the Island, and I’m ready to play! So I’ll walk you through the Bonus Quest as well! Mr. Wonka’s three greatest nemeses have stolen three secret recipes to his greatest creations, and you have to retrieve them!
What this bonus quest essentially is, is a mini-game. Nothing much to it. Jump up to the Glass Elevator and enter.
You will automatically be led to the mini-game. The object of the game is to retrieve the secret recipes from the three “thieves”, which will be flying in planes.
How to play:
- Simply move your mouse/cursor around the game-play screen to fly your plane
- Try and collect the candy fuel and hold mouse to shoot (Don’t forget to collect more when you run out)
Keep in mind, you are timed for all three rounds. You will have to retrieve the recipes in 40 seconds each time. Check out this game play!
After, you’ve completed all three rounds, you’re finished with the bonus quest! When you return to the Fudge Room, talk to Willy Wonka. He’ll congratulate you once more, and give you a special super secret confection of his, Helio-Gum!
