Topping Tuesday: Top 5 ASGs

Hey guys! It’s time to revive the weekly specials. The first one will be…

Wait for it….

Drumroll please….

toppingtuesday-1

That’s right, Topping Tuesdays! This segment was fairly new before the blog died, so, not much of a surprise. Lol.

Anyway, for this week it’s Top 5 ASGs. If you don’t know what an ASG is (which is very rare), check our page out! Btw, this list is based on ASGs that are on the PHB’s ASG page, not including the hundreds of other ASGs that others have created.

This list is based on the stylishness of the costume parts, rareness of the costume and/or the hand motions and is entirely in my own opinion. Enjoy! 😉

5. soy40

This ASG is definitely stylish- to me anyway. Even if the outfit doesn’t quite match, the crown-air is easily one of the best hairs of poptropica.

In fact, I would be using this hair as well, if it weren’t for the fact that I definitely do not deserve a crown, and well, I prefer longer hair 😛

I also like the football in this ASG. I personally have no interest in football and have never properly played it, and probably never will (quite the opposite of my class really, they argue about Ronaldo and Messi on a daily basis), but that poptropican-style football is cute.

4. ASGbyEvra#1

asgbyevra1

Well, well, well- an ad ASG. I usually don’t pay attention to ads unless it’s for a blog post, but dang, this costume is good.

The hair is cute, a refreshing change, black hair with neon pink highlights, and antennas as well.

The wings are not as good, though. They don’t quite fit as poptropican-style.

But, that doesn’t really matter when you notice the skirt- pretty unique, with a night-view-city-sky view, the first of its style I’ve seen on poptropica.

3. Slenderman

slenderman

The creepiest of the creepy: Slenderman! The internet horror story.

This ASG is unique in the fact that it has no eyes, or facial features (apart from eye sockets) much like the myth of Slenderman (though he doesn’t have eye sockets either.).

This ASG also unique in the fact that it is almost completely appearance-accurate, when placed beside pictures of the myth. (Apart from the obvious, the eye sockets and the tie colour, although those don’t matter much.) Poptropican community members who make costumes usually find it difficult to make completely accurate as Poptropica has a very limited collection of costume parts.

2. Pumpkinhead5

pumpkinhead5

I’m not even entirely sure why I put this ASG on the list. I guess this truly proves that I have no sense in colour/fashion 😛

People wouldn’t usually describe bright, neon orange as an aesthetic colour, but in this case, I do. I don’t know why. perhaps it’s because of the yellow eye-and-mouth things, or the ivy on the clothes.

Which makes me remember that I really like the ivy, it’s quite a nice and refreshing design. Looks like the doodling techniques I know I’ll never be able to master :’)

1. WKF_ASG_AN-princess (includes fire hands)

wkf_asg_an-princess

Well, the reason I love this ASG and put it as first is very obvious: Fire is and has always been my chosen element (even though I’m White ICE), especially since I’m a wildfire, the fire hands are very fitting for me. (Also reminds me of Ghost Rider 😉 )

Alright, fire hands aside, the clothes design is also nice, especially the scarf around her (non-existent) neck. I also used the shirt for my poptropican halloween costume this year (remember Cyclopice? haha), and the flowing fabric bit is similar to my scarf.

Well, that concludes this week’s list! Any recommendations for the list for next week? 🙂 Comment your opinions on this post and recommendations down below!

Until next time,

Topping Tuesday: Top 5 Poptropica Villains

Top 5 Poptropica Villains (Opinion Based)

Hello, everyone! Lucky Joker here giving my opinion with another Topping Tuesday post! This post contains spoilers, read at your own discretion. Of course, solely opinion based, I’ll be listing five of Poptropica’s best villains. I’ll try to provide reasoning to explain my choices. Anyway- Let’s POP right into it, shall we?!

5: Black Widowpoptropica-black-widow

Being known as one of Poptropica’s most infamous villains, she had to be on the list. For one, the design is great. Her awesome jumpsuit and wild hair both make a great look for a villain. If you don’t already know, she is most known for her role in Counterfeit Island, being the villain. Initially, you meet her in disguise, only to discover the bad side of this character. She’s an art thief who throws multiple tantrums during the game, and even resorts at attempting to destroy art pieces in hopes of not getting captured. In addition to all of that, she gives your Poptropican player a major beat down.

pop myron.png4: Myron Van Buren

Myron Van Buren is an obsessive hunter, who spies on you throughout the episodes of Survival Island. Once you meet, things get a little suspicious. He attempts to hold your player hostage, but you find a way to escape. Eventually, you’re the quarry! What an evil guy with an awesome catchphrase. Tally Ho!

3: Mademoiselle Moreaupop-moreau

A lesson to be learned here- Looks are deceiving. This young French woman is very clever but in the worst way possible. Her ultimate plan is to destroy the Ferris Wheel at Chicago World’s Fair, to ensure the amazement of the Paris World Fair. She’s the main villain of Mystery Train Island- putting your character through lots of loops in trying to find the thief of Edison’s Motion Capture Device. She frames Tesla and even has him arrested. At one point in the Island, she even tries to have your Poptropican arrested. She manipulates everyone around her to get what she wants- To lead everyone in the wrong direction, so that she isn’t caught in her dirty deeds.

2: Binary Bardpoptropica binary bard.png

(Formerly/AKA Mordred) Binary Bard was the main antagonist of Astro-Knights Island.
Background Information: He was thrown in jail by the King and Queen for studying in technology and dark science. He escaped and further studied. He (possibly) transformed himself into a cyborg later on.

In the story of Astro-Knights Island, He kidnapped the princess of Arturus, Elyana, and shot five dangerous types of spacecraft down toward the kingdom. He flies out to space and plans to become the king of the universe! In attempts to save the princess and to stop his treacherous plan, your Poptropican goes out after him. He plays multiple tricks on you, putting you through many dilemmas, only making it harder to complete your mission. His amazing costume and name were worth mentioning, as well. 😛 He just has the whole wide world in his hands, doesn’t he?

1: Zeus

Not only does he serve as the main villain in one Poptropica Island, but in two(Being Super Villain and Mythology)! It may be because I’m really into Greek Mythology, but that’s beside the point. In Mythology Island, he has you go through a quest to find the five sacred items: Scale, Pearl, Rose, Whisker, and a minotaur’s ring. Once you do, he takes them for himself and plans to become the ruler of all of Poptropica, like being the ruler of the Olympians wasn’t enough right? He also puts you through a tough battle in the end scene.Poptropica Zeus.png

In Super Villain, he disguises as Dr. Jupiter, which I find clever. Jupiter is the Roman name of Zeus- There’s your fun fact of the day. He has Poptropica’s most infamous villains: Black Widow, Dr. Hare, Binary Bard and Captain Crawfish all under quarantine in hopes of removing their evil totems.  Of course, if you’ve played the island, you’d know he was only trying to obtain the totems to strengthen his power and better his chances in trying to take over all of Poptropica. Again, he puts you through a tough battle in the end. Plus, anyone with the possession of four Poptropica villains all at once is definitely deserving of the title “Poptropica’s Baddest Villain”.

Well, that’s it for now. Have a different opinion? Share yours in the comment section below. Hope you enjoyed, and see you next time!

Topping Tuesday: Top 5 Store Item Cards

Top 5 Store Item Cards (In my opinion)

Hey guys! White Ice here. Yes, we’re posting normally again 😛

Anyway, I’m starting a new segment called Topping Tuesday, which will be top 5 lists every Tuesday of something in poptropica.

Well, this week it’s store items! The list will be in my opinion, so please respect it.

5 : Winter Blast Flavour Popgum

 screenshot_673

Original price: 250 credits

Before last June, back when I used to always chew, the gum was this.

It fits my poptropica name too, which is probably why I always only chewed this one, but the snowflakes that come out when the bubbles pop are very cool too!

I love popgums because most of the effects show in other people’s screens (in common rooms) as well. But it does get annoying when someone spam-chews and the screen lags. (I love annoying people by doing that!)

4 : Fierce Lion costume

screenshot_676

Original price: 75 credits

Awwww. Do you see how cute this costume is?! ❤ Look at that cute lion head and tail.

As you can see, I actually haven’t purchased this costume, because
1. I’m low on credits
2. I don’t think I’ll ever wear it anyway

I probably won’t ever wear it, because I make a point of never wearing things other than my signature outfit, because it’s too much trouble to change back 😛

BUT, this costume is still really cute otherwise. I have it on my backup as well 😛

3 : Bobblehead

screenshot_675

Original price: 250 credits

I actually bought this item as a joke of sorts a while ago because I had too much credits to spend 😛 But I don’t regret it.

I’ve only worn this item once or twice, and I don’t anymore because it makes your head look weird on SUIs. A shame, right?

But hey, I still like it because it’s cute and funny, and surprise, makes your head bobble! I think it’s amusing. Anyway.

2 : Whoopzie Cusion (Members Only Item)

 screenshot_677

I actually only came to acquire this item recently, and since I’m not a member, I used iPop. But these days, it’s a part of my signature outfit.

The reasons I like this item so much is because:
1. You can drop off Whoopzie cushions wherever
2. When people step on them, there are sound effects. Farting sounds
3. They are visible to other people in common rooms, and are a great way to have fun.

Yeah, they’re one of the few pranking items in the store which actually show for other players (in common rooms.)! When I’m bored, I fill up the whole common room with Whoopzie Cushions, and whenever someone moves, there’s farting sounds.

screenshot_680

Wow, I must have been really bored!

1 : Minimizer

screenshot_672

Original price: 250 credits

This is my all-time favourite card. Back 3 years ago and up until this June, I used to wear it all the time. That’s how much I loved it. It makes you look cute, and it used to be cool back when credits were a little hard to get by.
Nowadays? Using cards like the Minimizer, Atom Power and Electrify make your poptropican over-filtered (using too many enhancing-looks items).

I would probably still be wearing it today, if it weren’t for SUIs (because I binge-played them all this June.). Unfortunately, on SUIs the Minimizer card doesn’t work properly, and it may cause your game to glitch if you’re wearing it while completing an island. I experienced this with Escape from Pelican Rock and Monster Carnival. (Reason #1 out of 100 of why I hate SUIs.)

Anyway, that’s it with the first Top 5 list I have ever made, and I hope you enjoy! 😛

Until next time,

White Ice (Icey)
